Meet the Miners
We are fledgling game designers, each working on a single new design in public (but really working on it in this group… but really working on it in public). The complete current drafts (or as complete as they stand) are in the Projects page. We also tell you what we’re about and how we do things around here on the Mission Statement page.
- Chris is Playtesting Mecha.
- Clyde is Designing Silence Keeps Me A Victim.
- Matthew is Designing Seiyuu.
Master Mines Reservists
These are Master Mines members who have moved into the Publishing phase and are busy with that work or who are taking a break from designing or have bowed out for various reasons. However, these Reserve Miners remain close friends of the group. Reservists can be called in at any time to fight in case of an interstellar invasion by receiving the call: “Master Miners Mobilize!”

Howdy.
Maybe we are moribund, and I regret not doing more to keep things alive here… but at the same time, not everything has to be permanent, and I like the idea that the ethos behind Master Mines might last longer than the establishment itself.
I mean, group forming is so easy… why not keep it liquid and changing?
We could form some new groups and tendencies and use this space to track them. Or just let this one drift down the river of time and keep on being our awesome game-designer selves here in the present!
I’ve shelved D-Com for now and when I noticed that I was the only recent poster, I admit I decided to back off.
Recently, I’ve been working on a new project. In fact, I was working on D-Com before this new project specifically to make sure I didn’t screw up this new project. But now I want to put away the practice design and get to work on something I really, really want to do.
Are there enough of us still here for me to bring up my new design project? If so, I have some questions, lots of questions about the game. I want to answer them so I can playtest next month and could use the help. But if we’re moribund, then I can look elsewhere for people to bounce things off of.
